For the last twelve years, Joan was my next door neighbor and we shared a connection to both Philadelphia and New York. We often talked about her favorite books, poets, music, and her beloved cats. July 14th was her birthday. She will be missed for her kindness, humor and generosity to all those in need. She taught me to be grateful every day.
