Dear Carl and family: We are so sorry for your loss. Anne and Eileen shared so many Garden Club memories and ones when the Dahlgren was out to sea.John and Eileen.

Carl,

I was saddened to learn about Anne.

I enjoyed working with you both through the first electronic editions of the Council of Garden Club's Taproot, the yearbook productions, and various other projects Anne was put in charge of. Without her open-mindedness towards technology the Council would never have progressed so well!

Very fond memories for me.

I keep you and your family in my prayers during this difficult time.

Love,

Ginger

Carl: Our prayers are with you. She fought a good battle and I know you will be troubled for awhile but time heals all my friend. Good luck. Ed & Ruth DeLong

I am saddened today as I read in the newspaper of Anne's death. My first memory of her is simply a name as the editor of the Council of Garden Club's newsletter, the TAPROOT. Having recently retired from a Fortune 500 Company and having moving to Virginia Beach, I was impressed with the quality and professionalism of the newsletter and I remember telling Anne about that. As I came to know her more on a personal level, I grew to love her. When she was leaving her post as president of the Council of Garden Clubs of Virginia Beach, she surprised me with a certificate of appreciation, thanking me for supporting her through her term as president. Through the short time I knew her, she was always thinking of how she could boost another person's self esteem. She certainly did that for me. It makes me sad when people such as Anne have to leave us but my faith tells me Anne wants us to rejoice; that she is very happy and very much at peace.
