First of all, I knew Alice from Our Lady of Perpetual Help. I was her Laundry girl. she treated me like her daughter, and my son Nathan Bruce as her grandson. Nathan Bruce called her Little Alice. Alice loved us. whenever she saw me she gave me 2 hugs,1for me and 1 for her Nathan Bruce. We will miss her dearly, but will never forget her. My best memory with Alice was when she opened the handmade stained cross that I made for her in 2008 for Christmas. She was my favorite Resident, and will always be!!!! I want to offer Alice'sfamily my condolences. I have enjoyed sharing many Christmas Day gatherings at the Blackman's over the years, watching the children grow and hearing stories from Aunt Alice. A couple of years ago I went to Hawaii and put a lei in the water in memory of her husband and shared pictures that Carol said she enjoyed. It was my pleasure to know her and to feel inspired by her spirit and gangbuster attitude. My wish for the family is to remember the laughter and the joy.
