ETHEL W. MARNERIS
NORFOLK----Ethel Marneris fell asleep peacefully and passed into the hands of the Lord on Tuesday, July 20, 2010. She was born and raised in Norfolk and was a devout Greek Orthodox Christian. She was a lifelong member of The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Norfolk.
Her life was one of love, devotion and service to the Lord, her family and friends.
Her love, devotion and memory will be cherished by her four children, Tony Wallace, Anna Marneris, Christina Marneris and Mary Marneris; 3 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; four sisters and many other family and friends.
A funeral service will be held 11:00A.M. Saturday, July 24, 2010, in The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral by The Very Rev. Fr. Ambrose Bitziadis-Bowers and The Rev. Fr. Constantine P. Rogakos. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. A Trisagion service will be held 6:30P.M. Friday, July 23, 2010, at H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts. followed by a visitation until 8:00P.M.
