ALICE W. GRANTHAM
VIRGINIA BEACH – Alice Wright Grantham, 91, passed away on March 6, 2010 in a local hospital. Mrs Grantham was a native of Portsmouth, VA and has lived in the Tidewater area for most her life. She did travel and move around the world as a navy wife to many different places such as England, Bahrain, Hawaii, and Charleston, SC. She was a Pearl Harbor survivor.
Survivors include her daughter, Emily Grantham of Graham, NC, a brother, Grover Wright, JR of Virginia Beach, and a grandson, Michael Elliot Fisher of Richmond, VA
She is preceded in death by a daughter, Anne Grantham Fisher, two sisters, Emily Wright Blocher, and Annie Lee Wright Martin, and two brothers, Robert and Howard Wright.
The family would like to send special thanks to Raven Bittler and her mother, Gay Marie Pappas, and also the staff at Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
A funeral service will be held in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel on Tuesday March 9, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. Burial will be private. Online condolences may be made at www.hdoliver.com.
